Here is to our furry canine friends who help make everyday worthwhile.
On Saturday August 15th Zeon employees put on our Team Zeon T-Shirts and baseball caps and set out for Fort Collins, Colorado. The destination: the 2015 Colorado Tour de Cure.
The Tour de Cure is an annual fund raising bicycle ride that helps raise awareness of the fight to stop diabetes and raise critical funds for diabetes research, education, and advocacy in support of the American Diabetes Association.
Team Zeon was up for the task. Heading out at 5:30 a.m., the Zeon team of 22 had our full-service rest stop set-up and ready to receive the very first riders of the morning. Cowbells rang out and the cheers echoed around Horse Tooth reservoir as riders arrived throughout the day. Each rider was welcomed with an enthusiastic reception that included 50s and 60s surf music, cold water sprayers, ice cold drinks, food for riders to refuel, and special diet offerings for Red Riders (Rider with Diabetes). The enthusiasm and cheering continued on until the very last riders pushed off from Rest Stop #5.
On a day where temperatures reached into the upper 90s Team Zeon kept Rest Stop #5 very cool.
It was a great honor to participate and Zeon is proud to have been a part of the Tour de Colorado’s successful efforts to raise over $1,000,000 to help fight diabetes.
